Mix conveying system sensors

VÖGELE mix conveying system sensors

Mechanical sensors (conveyor) and ultrasonic sensors (spreading auger) from VÖGELE determine the mix volume in order to precisely adjust the feed rate of the auger in automatic mode to the current paving rate by means of proportional drive control. The purpose of the mix sensors is to increase paving quality and thus achieve a better surface finish. In simple terms, they just measure distances.

Mechanical long-range sensor

Cross-slope sensor

Mechanical or acoustic grade sensors are used to automatically compensate peaks or dips in the paved surface during paving. Cross-slope sensors are used to achieve required paving profiles

Sensors are simply plugged-in. They should be replaced when they stop working – maintenance is not an option. It is essential to ensure that the external operating consoles have the latest software releases installed.

Big MultiPlex Ski

The Big MultiPlex Ski simply compensates extended undulations. It is particularly user-friendly and can also be set up completely in just seven minutes.

Racetracks, highways and motorways: The Big MultiPlex Ski from VÖGELE always comes into play whenever absolute evenness in the longitudinal direction is essential and no absolute grade reference is available. In the standard configuration, three multi-cell sonic sensors can be attached to its variable 5 to 13 m-long beam. This enables the Big MultiPlex Ski to simultaneously scan a reference at several appropriately spaced points.

VÖGELE’s Auto Grade Plus system for automated grade and slope control calculates mean values from the data of the entire sampled area and uses them for the compensation of even the longest surface irregularities. In this way, the system operates with much greater precision than, for example, an individual single-cell or multi-cell sensor.
