Cone crushers are the ideal choice for use in medium-hard to hard and abrasive natural stone as well as for raw material preparation in mining applications. Cone crushers deliver standards-compliant, cubic final grains in the second and third crushing stages. Cone crushers are available in different sizes and versions and for a range of applications.
The KX series of cone crushers are typically used as secondary and tertiary crushers. In this case, the crushing of the feed material takes place between the rigid bowl liner and the moving crushing cone. The cam rotating around the main shaft is driven by the reduction gear. The rotation sets the head into a tumbling motion, whereby the crushing gap opens and closes cyclically.
The grain size of the final product can be varied by adjusting the crushing gap (open side feeding (O.S.F.) = inlet opening/closed side setting (C.S.S.) = closed gap width.
